BHOPAL: A man, impersonating as a field officer of State bank of India, has been booked by police here on Thursday. He was caught by cops from TT Nagar police station as soon as he entered New Market branch of the bank and his identity card was checked.
The bank officials found his I-card fake and police was informed, TT Nagar police later said.
Police said accused Raj Borasi, 23, a resident of Nagda in Ujjain used a fake identity card given to him by Ashish Garg, who, according to the accused, had introduced him as a bank officer posted in TT Nagar branch.
He had allegedly asked him to look for youth who want bank loan.
The accused told police that he had visited the bank branch to meet Garg but was caught. Police are now looking for Garg. Investigations are on.
