RBI deputy governor’s tenure was supposed to end on 24 November
Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) deputy governor Subir Gokarn’s term has been extended to 31 December, a finance ministry official, who did not want to be named, said on Wednesday.
Gokarn’s three-year term was supposed to end on 24 November. He handles the monetary policy department among others and also represents RBI at the G-20 deputies’ forum.
