Happy Holi

" The colours felt the best tender  touch of the Angels' fingers....
close your eyes and try to touch the Rainbow now..."
Prabhjeet Sandhu, Chandigarh :  The blind students Akash Institute  celebrated holi with great enthusiasm at Karuna Sadan sector 11, Chandigarh.
The visually impaired kids of National association for blinds celebrated the festival of colours with lots of fun and laughter. During the celebration the  kids sang songs and played with colors. The kids  not only touched but felt the rainbow on their hands.
Preet Kandhola a social volunteer of National Association for blinds said that festivals must be celebrated by these childrens, so that they can also feel the essence of life. Sunil a blind student said that he really enjoyed celebrating holi with his other friends.
The students were all set to fill their pichkaris and splash some colour on Holi. Since most of the students come with very little or no family support at all, the authorities make sure the students enjoy all festivals.
These kids may not be able to see the richness of the colours they play with, but the spirit of the festival is certainly felt here like no other place.
Even though these children may not really be able to see the visual finery of this festival, the excitement it brings to grab every moment of life and live it to the fullest, gives this festival the colours it deserves.
Thanks...India post,8th March 2012
